Prediction for Alabama vs. Wisconsin
Last week, I predicted Texas would overpower Michigan in another SEC vs. Big Ten showdown, and the Longhorns delivered with a commanding 31-12 win in Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, I expect a similar outcome against Alabama for Wisconsin and Big Ten fans.
Wisconsin’s offense has looked sluggish, struggling to crack 30 points against Western Michigan and South Dakota. While they controlled the ball and time of possession in both games, they won’t be able to do that against Alabama’s talent this weekend.
Though Alabama had a shaky performance last week, holding a narrow 14-13 lead over South Florida entering the fourth quarter, Kalen DeBoer’s offense came alive late, scoring 21 unanswered points for a 35-16 win. This is the same USF team that gave Alabama trouble in 2023, but the Crimson Tide bounced back from that year’s early loss to Texas and didn’t lose again until the national semifinal.
Wisconsin isn’t prepared for the level of talent Alabama brings to Camp Randall. They may control the ball early, but the Tide will impose their will as the game progresses. With Wisconsin facing an unusual Big Ten opener at USC the following week, things could get rough quickly.
The Prediction: Alabama 38, Wisconsin 13.
Best Bet: Alabama -15.5
